Fight Apathy

Last spring I was on a work sabbatical seeking God's guidance, and a respite from a particularly stress-filled season of life. I had an opportunity to hear Bob Goff, an author I had recently fallen in love with after seeing him at a leadership conference and reading his book, Love Does. The local pastor that introduced him was unknown to me at the time but has grown into one of my favorite speakers and one of God's wonderful ways to get me to stop and listen. I have had the privilege of seeing him several times since he's local, and the gift of technology keeps his sermons available.

Today I realized that I haven't listened to Joel for a few months and thought I'd catch up. While Joel did the preaching, God did the speaking - that's why it's today's feature for That Resonates.

I want to say so much, but Joel says it so well. Please, I know you probably don't want to listen to a sermon. For those of you who know me, you know that's not usually on my top 10 list of things to do either. Trust me...this resonated so deeply with me and I can't possibly be alone.

Have you drifted? Drifted in marriage? Work? Faith? If you don't pay attention, you naturally drift.

PLEASE, LISTEN TO THIS SERMON. It's 40 minutes that will feel like 20 and it may be filled with something you need to hear for yourself or to help somebody in your life.

One More Thing...
I am coming out of a season of apathy. If you are in one, I am happy to talk with you and share my stories and realizations. I felt alone, perhaps you do also. But...we are not alone.

Take care, and I'm always here to pray for you if you have a need or request.

Lois Lynn
